Extreme Weather Pet Door 19mm Packer for uPVC Door Panels
This 19mm Extreme Weather Pet Door Packer is designed to help install compatible aluminium Extreme Weather Pet Doors into thinner uPVC door panels.
Many uPVC doors use relatively thin infill panels, which can create a problem when fitting the Extreme Weather Pet Door. The internal slide-in closing panel needs sufficient clearance from the surrounding door frame and mid-rail. Adding the packer increases the installation depth and moves the pet door frame forward to provide the additional clearance required.
Designed for Thinner uPVC Panels
The packer adds approximately 19mm to the installation depth and can be particularly useful with common uPVC panel thicknesses including 20mm, 24mm and 28mm.
- 20mm panel + 19mm packer: approximately 39mm total depth
- 24mm panel + 19mm packer: approximately 43mm total depth
- 28mm panel + 19mm packer: approximately 47mm total depth
Helps Clear the uPVC Door Mid-Rail
One of the main reasons for using the packer is to provide additional clearance for the slide-in closing panel supplied with the Extreme Weather Pet Door.
On some uPVC doors, the pet door can be fitted into the lower panel but the surrounding mid-rail prevents the closing panel from sliding fully into position. The packer brings the pet door frame forward, helping the closing panel clear the mid-rail.

Important Compatibility Information
These packers are only suitable for the aluminium Extreme Weather Pet Door range. They should not be assumed to fit other PetSafe pet doors.
Adding a packer will also increase the overall external dimensions of the pet door installation. Check that sufficient space is available around the proposed opening before ordering.
Panels Less Than 18mm Thick
If the panel you are installing the pet door into is less than approximately 18mm thick, two packers may be required to achieve the necessary installation depth and clearance.
Fixings
The required fixing length will depend on the thickness of your existing door panel and the number of packers being used. For this reason, suitable M8 bolts of the correct length will need to be sourced separately.
